University Exchange Programme (Study Abroad) at a Partner University
The Mozarteum University’s bilateral agreements with international universities enable student mobilities outside Europe.-
Experience gained abroad is a valuable enrichment for both professional and personal development. Getting to know foreign cultures also promotes the understanding of one's own tradition and culture.

General requirements- Applicants must be inscribed as students at the Mozarteum University Salzburg
- Students must have completed at least two semesters
- A study stay abroad is only possible at a bilateral partner institution of the Mozarteum University Salzburg
- A mobility can only be carried out in a country that is not the country of residency during the studies (submission of a current confirmation of registration)
- Good knowledge of English or knowledge of the language of the host university (national language)
Important! Applicants should inform themselves about the courses offered and their compatibility with their current degree programme. -
A study stay at a partner university lasts one semester to a maximum of one academic year.

The Mozarteum University Salzburg grants a subsidy towards the increased mobility costs.
The OeAD scholarship database can provide information on any other scholarships. -
Applications are submitted to the International Relations Office of the Mozarteum University Salzburg as well as to the respective institution of choice (up to three applications to different partner universities are possible).

Application deadlines
The application deadline is generally 15th March for the following academic year. However, in some cases this must be brought forward, depending on the semester dates of the respective partner institution.
Important! Many scholarships (e.g. Fulbright for the USA) have much earlier application deadlines.
Students interested in a study abroad programme should read the detailed checklist carefully to inform themselves about the application process.
EASY online application
Applicants must also create an account in the EASY application system.

The following documents or media must be uploaded in EASY:- Transcript of Records
- Letter of recommendation from the main subject teacher(s) (in English for non-German-speaking countries)
- CV (in English or in the respective national language)
- Letter of motivation (in English or in the respective national language)
- Video recordings (YouTube etc.) or a portfolio (stage design, fine arts, art and craft education).
Tip: Students are advised to upload works from different styles/periods/techniques for the application.
Application to the desired institutions
Applicants must also apply to a maximum of three institutions of their choice.
- Submit all the above documents in the respective application tool of the desired institutions.

After an acceptance, there a few things required to apply for the grant.
Applicants must send the following completed documents to the International Office (Schrannengasse 10a, 2nd floor) by hand or post:
- Vorausanerkennung: Complete and sign the "Vor Antritt des Aufenthaltes" section with details of the courses, hours and/or ECTS credits.

- Complete and sign the Online Learning Agreement
Notification at the University Mozarteum Salzburg
Submit the following forms to the Study and Examination Management Department at studieninfo@moz.ac.at:
- Tuition waiver (Antrag auf Erlass des Studienbeitrags)
- University registration form (Meldungsblatt)
Other important tasks:
- Pay the mandatory Students’ Union (ÖH) fee.
- Notify main subject teacher of absence
- Insurance: students undertake to have sufficient health, accident and liability insurance cover for their stay abroad.

- All application deadlines stated above are to be observed. Those interested in applying should check these deadlines to ensure a smooth application process.
- Familiarise yourself with the application procedure (any questions that arise can then be clarified during the consultation appointment).
Students who are interested in a period of study at the Mozarteum in the context of bilateral partnerships should contact the International Office of their home university.

- Recordings of three-four works of various styles via links (instrumental subjects and singing), video recordings via links (drama, conducting and dance educational theory), Portfolio as a single PDF (stage design, art and craft educational theory)

- Proof of successful course achievement / Transcript of records (for Master’s degree courses a Bachelor certificate has to be submitted)
- Letter of motivation
